Aerial Yoga – An Introduction

Practising Yoga in a hammock is quite differnet! You will experience deep stretches with interesting variations of a mat yoga class! Learn to do invertions on your very first Aerial Yoga Class and walk out feeling like an Aero dancer!
What to wear and some rules:
Please wear comfortable clothing covering your arms and legs and please remove all jewellery and hair pins or anything else that migh tear the hammock. Also, arrive 20 mins prior to start of class to find your way around and to arrive in studio 10 mins before start time!
There are no weight restrictions as the hammock is very strong and could hold 1 tone of weight or more!
Who is this Workshop for?
This workshop is suitable for those who are fairly conditioned in any type of movement with good mobility, flexibility and strength. In addition, they are in good health and without any serious injuries and/or medical conditions!

- Deep hip, hamstring stretches;
- shoulder and upper body strength increased mobiity and flexibility;

- decompression of spine improving lower back health (when upside down);

Conditioning for Yoga!
Saturday April 8th @ 9:15 am – 45 mins (x4 weeks)
Location: Livestream – Via Zoom!
Price: £65 (£16.25 per session!)
Equipments: A Chair, a stretchy band or Yoga strap, a yoga brick or a book, and a yoga mat!
Who is this course for?
What will you gain from this course?
- Improved mobility on your shoulders,eldbow, wrists hip,knees and ankle joints;
- understand what is yoga and its benefits; learn a yoga sequence using props;
- Learn how to use your hands and feet properly in yoga poses, how to distribute weight away from your wrists and use core strength

- how can you modify some of the difficult yoga poses to suit you;

Equipment needed: Stretchy band, a mat, small dumbbells (if available) a Chair.
Who is this Course for?
This course is ideal for a complete beginner to fitness!
What will you gain from this course?
- Increase mobility through all of your joints- your shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, knee and ankle joints;
- learn how to perform basic functional exercise using props and other tools to assist you; how to do a squat or a reverse lunge properly;
- understand the difference between mobility and flexibility;
- What is your Core? Where is it? How to use it; why do we need to work on our core; Shall we do a Plank?;
- Let’s work on your strength through variou drills;
- how to protect your lower back when exercising;
- Understand what is endurance training so that you can perform an exercise without getting exhausted;

- Creating a daily fitness schedule to work on!

Getting Back to my Yoga!
What is this Course about?
This 6-week course is a kick starter for our bodies to wake up again after a long spell of merriment and slumber! Going straight back into what you were doing before the holidays may feel too harsh for most of us! Also given that we are now in for a cold spell it would be good to start with a lot of mobility work! Of course i am speaking to those who have only been practising Yoga for awhile or you may be a complete beginner thinking of taking up a Yoga practice this year! This course will be an excellent place to start your Yoga practice! Even if you are someone who have practised Yoga now for a long time, you will still gain an understanding of your where your body’s own limitations may be and how to work through them!

Chair Yoga
What is this Course about?
The 8 week course forms part of the Beginner Yoga Series. You will be following a structured step-by-step 6 week course to help you develop a solid foundation for your yoga practice.
This course is suitable for Older Adults, persons with any injuries/minor disabilities and complete beginners of all ages and abilities.
You will gain an understanding of alignment of yoga poses, how to breath properly using a chair and other props. You will also gain some basic knowledge of the purpose of practising Yoga!

Yoga In The Park!
START DATE: 6th June Duration: 8 Weeks
SUNDAYS 3:00-4:00pm LOCATION: Ravenscourt Park (2 mins from Ravenscourt Park Underground Station)
What is this Course about?
This course will explore our emotional and mental states post Covid-19 pandemic, how we have coped and how we will navigate our inner world , our lives in a fast changing world! This exploration is a slow process but will take us closer to renewal and growth! The course endeavours to help us achieve more inner and physical balance through a guided practice ! We will be spending the opening sequence in meditation and mobility and some breathing and then move on to exploring Asana portion of the class and then spend 15-20 minutes on Pranayama or breathing techniques. Preparing for Arm Balances
START DATE: 10th July – 31st July DURATION: 4 Weeks
What is this Course about
This is a studio based 6-week short course and is suitable for those who have a good regular yoga practice for up to 2 years and/or. you have good mobility, flexibility and good overall physical strength without any current injuries.
We will go through a step-by-step process to building your upper body strength
We hope to achieving at least one arm balance in the yoga practice during the 6 week course! Some of you may like to work on a particular arm balance of your choice that you have been working on for some time!
Don’t worry if you feel you did not progress far enough and/or achieve an arm balance in 6 weeks! This is indeed too short a time to expect that! We hope to run this course several times a year so people like yourself can strengthen your practice until you achieve your desired arm balance!
You can also take up a few One-to-One sessions if your prefer!

Laghusamudiranatva is a Sanskrit means ‘mobility of the body’ and Pranayama (in yoga) loosely means the regulation of the breath through certain techniques and exercises.
